The IBA’s new fiscal year will start on July 1, 2014. Upon embarking on the new fiscal year, the IBA will mark 12 years of existence. As New Mexico’s only statewide international trade assistance program, the IBA has assisted well over 1,000 clients since establishment. The concept of the New Mexico Small Business Development Centers Network (NMSBDCN) becoming a resource to assist the state’s small businesses with their import/export needs was developed by Economic Development Officer Linda Kay Jones of Western New Mexico University and former NMSBDCN State Director Roy Miller. We want to thank both of these individuals for their vision and support over the years.
Going forward, the IBA will be aggressive in offering its services to New Mexico’s small business community, in addition to acting as the go-to entity for all questions involving international trade. If you know of any company or entrepreneur who might benefit from our no-charge services, please have them contact us.
In the meantime, we look forward to another 12 years of serving New Mexico.
